Alister will discuss the pose of the horse, eg. walking or the classic pose, whether a jockey is requested and what will the background be.
Alister will advise on this to enable the painting to be a good composition.

If a painting is required for a special gift, how long a notice is required?

If a specific horse is to be painted, Alister needs several weeks or months to complete the commission. So please remember to speak to Alister well in advance of the special occasion.

What is the best size for the painting?

Size can vary considerably and is painted to suit the space where the painting is to be displayed. Always remember that the frame will be added to the size quoted.
